React Native
Limited support. userlily’s products run inside a web page, and a native app has none - so only the hosted feedback, survey and roadmap pages work, opened in an in-app browser.
Installed with hosted links only · Written for React Native with Expo
What works
| Product | Status | Note |
|---|---|---|
| Analytics & custom events | Not available | No web page for the tracker to run in |
| Feedback widget | Not available | Use the hosted feedback link instead |
| Review badge | Not available | |
| Web push | Not available | Native push uses APNs and FCM, not web push |
| Roadmap embed | With a step | The roadmap link, in a WebView |
| Feedback, survey & roadmap links | Supported | In an in-app browser |
1. Open hosted pages in an in-app browser
The feedback form, surveys and the roadmap are full web pages. With Expo, expo-web-browser opens them without leaving the app.
feedback.js
import * as WebBrowser from 'expo-web-browser'
const HOST = 'https://dev.userlily.com'
export function openFeedback() {
return WebBrowser.openBrowserAsync(
HOST + '/f/YOUR_CAMPAIGN_KEY',
)
}
export function openSurvey() {
return WebBrowser.openBrowserAsync(
HOST + '/s/YOUR_SURVEY_KEY',
)
}2. Show the roadmap inside a screen
Use the roadmap link, not the embed: the embed checks which website framed it, and an app is not one.
RoadmapScreen.jsx
import { WebView } from 'react-native-webview'
export default function RoadmapScreen() {
return (
<WebView
source={{ uri: 'https://dev.userlily.com/r/YOUR_ROADMAP_KEY' }}
style={{ flex: 1 }}
/>
)
}Notes
- Without Expo,
Linking.openURL()fromreact-nativeopens the same links in the system browser. - Expo for web runs in a browser, so the web build can use everything - follow the React guide for it.
